Additionally, Carroll ISD is home to a state champion Robotics team, a nationally recognized forensics team and the defending state championship Accounting team. 
Shopping – Southlake’s shopping centers around the Southlake Town Square, which is not only a beautiful outdoor mall that is just fun to explore, but offers such upscale stores as Ann Taylor, Coach, Eddie Bauer, Jos A. Bank, White & Black, Chico’s, Talbots, Williams Sonoma, Barnes & Noble, Pottery Barn, the Container Store, and many more. There are spas such as the Terrance Retreat Spa, Coldwater Creek Spa, and the Lemongrass Salon, among others. Southlake Town Square is home to the Apple Store, showcasing Apple’s newest products. Fine dining abounds as well. Enjoy fine dining at the Brio Tuscan Grille or Truluck’s Seafood Steak and Crabhouse. You’ll find everything here in the Square to tempt your taste buds from Cajun cuisine at Copeland’s, Thai cuisine at Thai Chili to Japanese Hibachi at Kobeya. Looking to grab a quick bite? Southlake Town Square offers that too. Grab a taco at the Taco Diner, a burger at Five Guys Burgers and Fries, or a sandwich at Which Wich. The choices are endless.
Healthcare – Southlake is home to the 37,000 square foot Harris Methodist Southlake Center for Diagnostics and Surgery boasting four operating rooms, one pain management suite, state of the art diagnostic radiology services and six overnight suites. Just a hop away is the Baylor Medical Center in Grapevine TX, the Baylor Medical Center in Trophy Club with its full service cancer center and Harris Methodist HEB in Bedford TX. On a personal note, it’s also home to Dr. Robin Hall who I truly admire and who I wrote about in an earlier post.
Communities – Southlake has over 50 neighborhoods. Most homes sit on .5 to 1 acre lots, however, Southlake offers not only patio homes (on zero lot line lots) and Brownstones but also many homes on several acres. There are 12 public parks, a nature center, and miles of walking trails. If you’re a golfer, you’ll be in a golfer’s paradise at the Timarron Country Club which features a Byron Nelson signature course. If you’re a boater or just love water sports, you’ll love spending your summer days at nearby Lake Grapevine.
Events – Southlake TX is full of events, including the Kaleidoscope of Homes, which this year runs from October 9 to the 31st. This year a portion of the proceeds from the tickets sold will go to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Come out and enjoy – it’s a great way to check out the neighborhood and visit many of the beautiful homes that Southlake has to offer. And keep your holiday calendar clear so you can take in many of the events that will be happening in Southlake. Southlake’s Season of Magic starts November 13.
